THOMAS LEMAR is Arsenal’s No.1 target if they sell Alexis Sanchez this month.

Lemar was wanted by the Gunners in the summer but they couldn’t get a deal done.
Monaco green lit a £90m bid from Arsenal on deadline day in August after the north London club accepted a £60m offer from Manchester City for Sanchez.
But neither deal went through as time ran out.
Sanchez is still on City’s radar and is expected to move either this month or next.
Starsport understand he’s already got an agreement in principle over personal terms with the Manchester club.

“Arsenal have made Thomas Lemar the man they want to replace Alexis Sanchez”
They were willing to wait until the summer to sign him when his contract at Arsenal expires.
But they could now bring things forward with Gabriel Jesus likely to be out for up to two months.
And if they do snap up Sanchez from Arsenal, L’Equipe claim Lemar will be the man they turn to.

The French outlet say Lemar is the ‘priority’ for the Premier League giants and Monaco could be tempted into a sale.
That’s despite boss Leonardo Jardim claiming yesterday no sale will happen in January.
Monaco are not in the habit of making big sales in the winter,” he said.
“It’s our strategy. The players understand and they know how it goes here.”
Liverpool are also said to be chasing Lemar as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who is off to Barcelona after an ‘agreement in principle’ was reached between the two clubs.
